"Every day we face challenges and things go wrong, continue to push forward and Stack Victories!" - Rich LaMonica

Introduce yourself.

The MisFitNation was started in 2021 by Rich LaMonica. It was his desire to create a place for his Brothers and Sisters (Veterans) to come and share their stories. The idea was to get the pressure off of their chests and keep them around a little longer. This was due to the staggering number we are losing a day to suicide 22 per the VA or 44 actual. The first dozen or so episodes did just that with two veterans on each show sharing their stories. Then they asked to switch it up. They also wanted to help Brothers and Sisters but not just their stories but with tools.

These include but are not limited to Mental health alternatives, how to become an author, how to get into Hollywood, mindset, leadership and much more. Along with Stephen LaMonica and Jake Holland they now host 3 Live shows per week and release 2 audio only shows each week. Stephen and Jake host The ToosDay Crue while Rich hosts The MisfitNation on Sunday and Thursday.

Share an experience that has shaped who you are today.

I stand here today due to a series of moments. One was Dec 31st 2010 when SGT Michael Beckerman, my Soldier was killed in action. I had to ensure those whom I was charged with leading made it home after that. It took all I could to be strong for them and get them to forge ahead. Then on June 18th, 2012, I was wounded and a light flashed in my brain housing unit. These two events made me realize I was resilient and no matter how many times I get hit in the gut, I will get back up. Flash forward to today and that is how I still am, I know each day is full of challenges, you have to learn and grow from setbacks, and stack victories everyday.
