The Top 100 in 10 Golf Podcast with Nish Agarwal: A Hilarious Golfing Quest
We’re a couple of amateur golfers trying to live out a dream. Golf is an incredibly social sport and people love to talk! We’ve tried to tap into that by talking about and documenting our crazy journey to play the Top 100 golf courses in the UK & Ireland. We take a slightly irreverent view on golf and our course reviews, it’s about humour, connection and making friends. And that is the kind of audience we want. We want to share our lives with them so they feel truly connected to us.
I started playing golf seriously regularly post-covid. it was the first thing we could do with another human being in the UK. And I made it a mission to play every week. It was great for my mental health and general wellbeing. I found myself nerding out about improving and getting better. About a year and half ago, I reach a point in my life where I had enough, closed my business and started exploring how I could make golf the focus, and it’s too late to turn pro! This podcast has given me a great sense of purpose and energy.
We don’t take ourselves seriously. We share our lives with our audience, and we feel that makes for a real, authentic experience. We’ve had people in our social circle comment about how much they are enjoying listening to the podcast, and that they can’t wait to hear what happnes next. Humour makes a big part of the appeal of our podcast, and we try to do that through compelling storytelling… even if we say so ourselves!
No one is running a podcast documenting a journey like this in the golf space. Most are about improvment, or golf in general. We have niched down into documenting our journey (one which a fair few golfers undertake) and also giving people a more irreverent review of the most famous golf courses in the world. We are documenting all parts of our journey – opening up our golf for analysis and scrutiny!
